NOW CASTING: PARK STRONG

                                                                       DESCRIPTION

PARK STRONG is a proof of concept short film based on the feature female-driven sports drama, MAKE YOU BELIEVE, recognized by the Academy Nicholl Fellowships and the Austin Film Festival (2023 & 2024 Q-finalist, 2024 Second Rounder). A story about teenage resilience in the face of violence. Pro film crew. Prime opportunity for reel footage for emerging actors.

TORY (Victory “Tory” Angelos) – LEAD – FEMALE – 18+ TO PLAY 16

Description: Latina or mixed race. Inner city upbringing, street basketball hustler, not afraid to step up and finish a fight but doesn’t start them. Baby faced, jaded eyes. Afraid to hope. Seeking actors with a youthful, athletic, street tough aesthetic.  ATHLETIC NOTE: If you can dribble and shoot a basketball, that’s a HUGE plus, but not required.  

Rate: $250/day (3 days) 

FABIOLA – SUPPORTING LEAD – FEMALE - 18+ to PLAY 18

Description: Black/Haitian or mixed race. Young sage on her way to Brown University. Tory’s best friend and stakes character. Haitian accent a plus.

Rate: $250/day (2 days)

DRE – SUPPORTING LEAD - FEMALE - 18+ to play 17

Description: White, suburban upbringing. Tory's teammate after she transfers schools. PTSD from a tragedy the year prior. Unfazed by Tory’s tough girl facade. A good friend. 

Rate: $250/day (1 day)

LIL MURPH - SUPPORTING - MALE - 18+ to play late 20s to mid 30s

Description: Black or mixed race. Tory’s stake horse on the city basketball court. 

Rate: $250 (1 day)

HOOP EARRINGS - SUPPORTING - FEMALE - 18+ to play late teens/early 20’s. 

Description: Latina or mixed race. Showy, street tough, instigator, brawls with Tory in the opening scene. Spanish speaking a plus.  

Rate: $250 (1 day)

HOOP EARRINGS ENTOURAGE - EXTRAS - FEMALE - 18+ to play late teens/early 20s

Description: Latina or mixed race. Friends of Hoop Earrings

Rate: Unpaid but listed in credits, reel footage. (1 day)

OUTDOOR CITY BASKETBALL COURT SCENE- EXTRAS - 18+ needed for crowd scene.  

Description:  Any ethnicity, any gender.

Rate: Unpaid but listed in credits, reel footage. (1 day)
